My A-ha Moment and a little about me
After many years of working in sales, eating fast food and being married to a chef who specializes in rich, fatty foods, I found myself at 218 pounds. I had always been very active, running, playing tennis, etc. When I saw this photo of myself, I realized that I needed to get a grip. Then, I lost a friend at 42 years old of a massive heart attack. This got my attention. I had already lost 15 pounds, but really needed to start caring for myself. Today I have been accepted as a SweatPink Ambassador. This thrills me even more. As I type this, my heart is aching considering that I buried my Daddy yesterday. The spark to further care for my body has been stoked even more. I look forward to working even harder toward my goal and hopefully motivating others to realize that they cannot care for others if they don’t take care of themselves.

I am so sad for your losses. It brings me joy that you are a strong woman and are using your sadness to bring strength and inspiration to others!
Amanda M, thank you so much. I truly appreciate your kindness. It is my hope that I can be strong and continue to inspire others even when I feel weak. Your comment certainly helps me believe that I can find my strong, positive, perky side again one of these days. Have a fantastic day!
