New SPA member
Hello! I’m Christie. I live just North of Dallas/Fort Worth and I am a Mom to a 9 year old boy who is absolutely amazing.
I’m not sure if I had a single moment that I would describe as my epiphany to a lifestyle change, but it boils down to having family members and friends with health issues due to lifestyle choices, a very physically active boyfriend who I was having trouble keeping up with, and the desire to just feel better overall. I enjoy circuit training, hiking, yoga, Pilates, lifting weights; I do a big variety of things to keep myself motivated! Through better eating habits as well, I have managed to lose 20 pounds on my own. I love seeing new muscle lines pop up, or old clothes fitting me again, even just being able to put more weight on the bar. It’s all an amazing feeling. I definitely don’t have it all down, and I’ve screwed up along the way over the last year but I’m getting better.
And in the spring I will be doing my first half-marathon, so I am now training for that. My friend has had cancer twice and when she asked, how could I say no?
