How can I get involved?
There are plenty of ways to join the conversation. Share your story with us. Show your support for all the people who have already shared their stories by leaving a comment on their post. Join us on Facebook and Twitter. Submit your own healthy living photos on our Facebook page.
If you’re in San Francisco, we’d also love for you to join us for bootcamp or yoga, or for our trail running club.
Are you women only?
No! We love to have men join the conversation about health and fitness, and, in fact, have many male bootcampers and readers. They rock the pink shoelaces, too.
Where are your bootcamps held?
Bootcamps happen at the top of the Lyon Street Stairs, at Broadway and Lyon in San Francisco, and on the Embarcadero at Bryant and Embarcadero. Look for Jamie—she’s the petite brunette in pink shoelaces—and our Sweat Pink sandwichboard.

I am injured / out of shape / intimidated by bootcamp. What should I do?
All it takes to succeed at bootcamp is a positive attitude. We encourage you to give bootcamp a try (with your doctor’s permission, of course). We know that no body is the same. Classes are all levels, and we tailor exercises and difficulty to your situation.
Our bootcampers are a friendly group, too, so no matter what your level or previous experience, you’ll have a built-in support system cheering you on.
How do I sign up for bootcamp?
We now have online signups! Click here for the bootcamp schedule. Please sign up at least 5 hours before class, so we know to expect you. If you miss the cutoff, email or text Jamie to see if there is space. jamie AT fitapproach.com or 510-502-2981.
Do you have any other classes besides bootcamps?
We’re now offering morning flow yoga! We also have some new class offerings in the works that we’re really excited about! But shh…we can’t spill the beans just yet. Stay tuned for some fun offerings coming in the next few months. Sign up here to receive updates on new classes!

Who writes for your site?
We have a whole team of expert contributors, including nutritionists, personal trainers, life coaches, massage therapists, chefs, and more. We also encourage submissions from our community. Contact us to share your story!
Can I write for your site?
Yes! We’d love for you to share your story–whether it’s about your fitness aha moment, a favorite beauty trick, or a challenge you’ve faced along the way. Submit articles of any length and photos here.
What’s the story with the pink shoelaces?
The pink shoelaces are part of our Sweat Pink movement, which is about inspiring people to feel strong, confident and tough no matter who you are, or what you look like. We hope you’ll join the thousands of people rocking the pink shoelaces. Shoelaces are available here.
