Staying Fit Wherever I Go
Growing up I was a very active kid, but I never really loved sports. I would change hobbies all the time, anything from gymnastics, swimming, I even attempted to be a skate boarder for about a month, until I ultimately failed at that. It wasn’t until a few years after college that I really fell in love with fitness. I found myself in search of something to keep me occupied once college life ended. I started running in 5Ks, rock climbing, snowboarding and hiking.
I still remember that first mountain I climbed. The way up was one of the most challenging things I had ever done. Once I made it to the top and saw the incredible views I knew that it was worth every painstaking step. I fell in love and realized I had the same feeling after every wall I climbed and every race I finished.
A few years later I moved away from the mountains and to NYC. It was here that I fell in love with running, back in love with gymnastics, and had the opportunity to try new things like flying trapeze! Fitness for me is about getting out there and challenging yourself. I found that the rewards and benefits from fitness far outweigh anything else in life.
