I am here to reach out to as many people as I can by sharing my story, giving encouragement, and spreading motivation to prove to others that if I can do it, so can they. I began my health journey 2 years ago after I was diagnosed with diabetes, high blood pressure, a fatty liver, and other health complications. I was told that my life was going to be shortened if I didn’t make a change. After my health scare I decided it was time to change my lifestyle and create a whole new me! I have found a love for fitness, eating right, and pushing myself to new limits. I have discovered that it is important to challenge myself to new fitness goals and find things that I love doing, such as: hiking, jogging, dancing (music is a great motivator), and yoga. I have lost 100.6 pounds, and more importantly, I have shed the health problems that I once faced. My goal weight is 165. I have 23 more pounds to go until I reach my goal! I have created the facebook page
www.facebook.com/healthytipswithelizabethcarr so I can help others reach their fitness and health goals. I want to teach others to wipe the word can’t out of their vocabulary. I am a firm believer that we are capable of achieving anything we set our minds to.

I'm a very lucky woman to be a mom to two fabulous kids and to be married to one incredible man. I work full time as a special education teacher. I started running because my husband is a runner and it helped me drop the baby weight and now I'm addicted. My long runs are with my "girls" on local roads or our favorite running (paved) trail.
I've completed 6 half marathons and one full marathon and now I'm training for marathon #2 scheduled for this fall. I'm also going to try out some trail running in a couple of weeks.

Presley runs for health, happiness, and her sanity. Her passion for running began in college and continues to this day. What began as a quest to lose a few pounds has now become a part of her regular routine. Presley ran throughout her recent pregnancy and understands that all it takes to be a runner is getting out there.
