Fit Approach Sweat Guru SweatPink

Hey guys! I haven’t forgotten all my Sweat Pink Sisters! It’s been a long time since I’ve written anything important, and with so many new and amazing SPA’s, I’ve been having trouble keeping up with y’all, let alone reading peoples blogs, amazing testimonials and friending everyone on Facebook!

But, regardless of the fact that I haven’t met anyone in person or read everyone’s “About” pages (although I plan to!), I’m here to tell you that the best part about being a SPA, is the community.

I’m all over the place. Literally. I have no friends that I see regularly. This is not because I’m not social, this is because I travel a lot. I have no idea where I’m going to be or for how long so I don’t settle in. This lifestyle will not be this pronounced forever, I’m in a very unique situation at the moment. I’m a professional dancer and performer (I’ve been employed as a dancer, an aerialist, a singer, an actress, a model, a stilt-walker, a stunt-woman). Basically if it’s a show and it’s physical, I’ll do it. I started by working in LA but then I went to Singapore for 2 years, met the love of my life, who happens to be Australian and since then I’ve taken odd jobs all over in an attempt to both work and be able to see my fiance in Australia. In the past year I’ve visited or worked in Ohio, New York, Singapore, China, Australia, New Zealand. At the moment, my fiance and I are waiting with baited breath for the outcome of a couple auditions so we can see where in THE WORLD we’re going to be in the near future.

Some days are really hard. All the travel and uncertainty and inability to just meet up and have coffee with my best friend or go for a run with my sister leaves me feeling down. Ever since joining up with Fit Approach to be a Sweat Pink Ambassador, I’ve found a way to keep motivated. On my bad days and good days alike, my inbox is full of emails from my SPA sisters, their blogging giveaway’s, new fitness endeavors, “aha” moments and constant support of each other is just a click away.  My Facebook is constantly showing me status updates of new running or lifting PR’s, yoga groups starting up, inspirational messages and new women getting added to the group.

I mentioned in my first post on here that I have a past struggle with eating disorders. On my worst days the past can haunt me. But with constant, albeit long distance, inspiration from all these fit, beautiful, committed women – some with children, as I hope to have and inspire some day- I can’t fall back into old, useless, harmful habits.

So, for all you SPA’s, for Jamie and Alyse and everyone at Fit Approach, thank you for being constant inspiration, a solid grounding when I’m struggling and a reminder that hard work and heart work, pays off. Thank you for showing me, reminding me too, everyday, that fitness is more then just miles run or reps. I hope to get more involved as the days pass.

Do you sweat pink and sweat it proud?

Do you have a passion for inspiring others on their journeys to health? Do you believe that strong is the new skinny, pink is the new black, and that a positive attitude and whole foods are a healthier route to happiness than self-loathing and 100-calorie snack packs?

If you answered yes to all the questions above, you are an ideal candidate for becoming a Sweat Pink™ Ambassador!

Who are Sweat Pink™ ambassadors?

  • Enthusiastic health nuts who love sweating and eating well, but can also appreciate the finer things in life (chocolate, cheese, wine…)
  • Natural leaders. They motivate those around them to achieve their best, and set an example of healthy, positive living. They set up running clubs for their friends, and organize gym dates early in the morning or after work. They get their co-workers to try yoga, and to order fruit instead of donuts for meetings.
  • Passionate. Whether they go gaga for green smoothies or tear up the floor every day at Zumba, there’s something about living well that really gets them going, and their enthusiasm is infectious.
  • Curious. Always looking out for the latest fitness or foodie craze, eager to learn, connect, share, and discover.
Why become a Sweat Pink™ ambassador?
  • Inspire others. You can make huge changes in people’s lives by being their champion, encouraging them to get off the couch and chase their goals.
  • Get connected. As an ambassador, you’ll gain a whole network of motivating, inspiring, well-connected people like yourself.
  • Gain exposure. Whether you’re working on your own blog, developing a personal brand, or just trying to raise awareness in your family / workplace / community about healthy living, you’ll gain visibility and a whole new audience of like-minded people.
  • Pink swag! Ambassadors get all sorts of discounted and free pink swag for themselves and to share with their communities.

Ambassador applications are currently closed. Follow us on Twitter to find out when applications reopen.

Being a Sweat Pink™ ambassador means enjoying a cold one every now and then (like after running Nike Women’s Marathon!)
